I want to give a shout out to the Afro-American Historical Association (AAHA) of Fauquier County. They hosted my 23rd book signing and lecture today. Thanks to Karen Hughes-White, co-founder and President; Karen King-Lavore, co-founder and Vice President; Angela Hughes-Davidson, community relations coordinator. I had a sizable audience who engaged in many questions concerning the Alexandria’s Freedmen’s Cemetery as well as buying many books. If you are in the Fauquier County, Virginia area or visiting, please stop by the AAHA. They have many unique records on their African American community. You can visit their web site at http://www.aahafauquier.org/.
